Rain or Shine. 12% % Growing Coalition came out in full force for City Advocacy Day.
On May 18, 2010, the 12% and Growing Coalition (co-led by CACF and the MinKwon Center for Community Action) held a successful City Advocacy Day. While the Asian Pacific American community makes up 12% of the New York City population, Asian-led organizations receive less than 1% of the City’s social service contract dollars. During these tough times, the City’s budget cuts to social services will have a negative and disproportionate impact on the Asian Pacific American community.
