The Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) and advocates from several prominent Brooklyn-based members of the 18% and Growing Campaign rallied at Brooklyn’s McKinley Park on Thursday to demand New York City Council invest in NYC’s AAPI communities.

REACH (Representing and Empowering AANHPI Community History Coalition is is proud to support the reintroduction of S5963/A6579, which seeks to mandate the the integration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) history into the social studies curriculum.

The Representing and Empowering AANHPI Community History (REACH) Coalition is working to bring Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander history (AANHPI) to New York State schools. The growing coalition, which was created in 2022, is composed of over 140 community leaders, parents, students, educators, and 50+ organizations that are committed to promoting inclusive and diverse curricula in schools.

The Coalition of Asian American Children and Families (CACF) welcomed Felicia Singh on Tuesday as the organization’s new Director of Policy and Government Relations. Felicia comes to CACF from the grassroots gender justice organization Jahajee Sisters, where she served as the Advocacy and Campaigns Manager.

This Monday, CACF and our staffers will join Americans across the country in commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. Day by reflecting on the late civil rights leader’s legacy and the work that still remains to this day.
