Hate does not have a place in our vision for New York. As leaders across New York’s Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities, we denounce the violence and humanitarian crises being perpetrated in Palestine and the violence perpetrated in Israel. And we stand in solidarity with Muslim, Sikh, Jewish, South Asian, West Asian, and Arab American communities in the United States that are unjustly experiencing a rise of violence and hate.

CACF stands opposed to an austerity budget that diverts resources away from individuals and families who have been disenfranchised by historic exclusion and starves low-income and working class communities from culturally responsive social safety nets - because victories in the name of restoration are rooted in the perpetuation of class stagnancy and the disruption of socioeconomic mobility.

CACF’s Innovative, Youth-Focused AAPI-LEAD Conference Returns For Second Straight Year
The Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) and its Asian American Student Advocacy Project (ASAP) are set to kick off the second annual AAPI-LEAD conference Wednesday with 85 youth participants from across the New York metropolitan area. The innovative, four-day conference focuses on developing the attendees' understanding of what it means to be an AAPI youth while also equipping participants with the tools to advocate for themselves, their families, and the wider AAPI community as a whole.

Former Mayoral Candidate Art Chang Appointed As Chair of Coalition for Asian American Children and Families’ Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF), the nation’s only pan-Asian children and families’ advocacy organization, has announced the appointment of Art Chang as Chair of CACF’s Board of Directors. He replaces Larry Lee, who served as Board Chair since 2019 and will continue to provide his vision and expertise to CACF as Board Chair Emeritus.
Equity Budget Coalition Celebrates New York State’s $30 Million Investment in AAPI Communities
The New York State Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Equity Budget Coalition (EBC) and our legislative champions celebrated the historic win of a $30 million investment in the FY 2023-24 New York State Budget to support critical services for New York’s AAPI communities. This funding, successfully advocated for by the Equity Budget Coalition (EBC), will go towards supporting more than 100 AAPI-led and -serving organizations from across New York who provide critical resources needed to combat hate and support the safety and wellness of our communities.
