AAPI-LEAD: A Youth-Led Advocacy Conference
A conference designed by and for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth, AAPI-LEAD (or Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders - Learn. Engage. Advocate. Dream) is an annual, multiday conference that is facilitated by CACF’s ASAP Youth Leaders.
Our Story
First launched in 2022, the four-day event consists of workshops and interactive sessions on topics designed by our ASAPers that cover topics that identity, data disaggregation, and other social issues facing young AAPI New Yorkers today.
In 2025, AAPI-LEAD expanded outside of New York City for the first time with the introduction of AAPI-LEAD Long Island. The three day conference was held at Adelphi University and drew students from across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
