And, we CAN embrace vaccines.
NEW YORK, NY - People of Color Health Justice Campaign is a united front of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-led community-based organizations that call to end racism and discrimination in healthcare during and beyond this pandemic. New York City and State governments, along with large academic hospitals, and large pharmacy chains entrusted in the vaccine roll-out continue to fail people of color in the response to COVID-19. And our voices remain unheard.
Recent news on the low numbers of people of color being vaccinated in the communities hardest hit by COVID-19, while not surprising, speaks to the continued inequities that we face. Join the POC HJ “Vaccine Racism MUST Stop!” Press Conference to hear untold stories highlighting the challenges of BIPOC communities and our demands to end racism in healthcare for all New Yorkers.
