Introducing Our New Family-Oriented Vaccine Resources in 11 Asian Languages
This new poster debunking myths about the vaccine has been translated in 11 languages.
NEW YORK (October 7, 2022) --As we head into the colder months, it’s clear that getting the children and teens in our community vaccinated is more important than ever. But for many families of Asian descent, finding answers to their questions about vaccination isn’t always easy.
That’s why CACF is proud to announce the launch of a new series of family-oriented multilingual resources on the importance of the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters in 11 Asian languages.
Here’s what’s included in the new resources:
A new public service announcement that provides critical information about the safety and efficacy of the vaccines
A poster debunking common myths about the vaccine
These resources were created as a part of Forging Partnerships, a national Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander health response partnership coordinated by the Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They are available in Arabic, Bangla/Bengali, Simplified and Traditional Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), English, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Nepali, Punjabi, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
The creation of these resources would not have been possible without the crucial collaboration among CACF members Arab American Family Support Center (AAFSC), Council of Peoples Organization (COPO), Japanese American Social Services Inc. (JASSI), Korean Community Services (KCS), Mekong NYC, South Asian Council on Social Services (SACSS), United Chinese Association of Brooklyn, and UNITED SIKHS. Parents and guardians can also be assured the materials were also all approved by the CDC.

The posters and videos are all viewable on the COVID-19 page of our new AAPI Health Resources Hub, which can be found at AAPIHealthHub.org. The Health Hub also serves as an essential, multilingual resource for information on health insurance options and healthcare rights, in addition to COVID-19 vaccines and treatment.
